Halloween is absolutely my most favorite holiday. I can't wait until this Halloween.

Each year I try to think of something a little more interesting and a bit more scary (but not too scary) that I can do to scare the little kids that come trick-or-treating.

The first year I did it I dressed like a scarecrow and sat perfectly still in a chair on the porch until the kids would come close enough to get the candy out of the bowl that sat at my feet.

At just the right moment I would jump out of my chair! Depending on the size of the kid, I might only move an arm or a leg. I got a group of teenage boys to run away screaming, though.

My second year, I used the scarecrow costume and added a witch mask in the mix. See if you can figure out how it worked.

This one fooled lots of people, even plenty of adults. I'm the only one in these pictures.

I haven't quite decided what to do this year, but I think it will involve some pulleys that I have. My mom may even come up to visit during Halloween just so she can help me scare the kids. She loves the day just as much as I do!
