100 Things for my 100th Post

I guess it is tradition to list one-hundred little known things about oneself when one has posted one-hundred posts on one's blog. Here goes...

1. I have to eat the same thing for breakfast every single day, or I get cranky (Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds, and a glass of Orange Juice)
2. Besides that, I would rather not eat at all- I find it quite a nuisance.
3. Bungee jumping does not sound very exciting or appealing to me, although I have jumped out of an airplane before; that was fun!
4. I can count to 99 on my fingers.
5. If I use my toes also, I can count to 9999.
6. I've never counted to 9999 on my fingers and toes - by ones.
7. My love language is physical touch.
8. I really hate to read.
9. If I could live on oreo cookies, I would.
10. I have a BS in Music Therapy from USU.
11. My husband and I have no children.
12. We have two dogs, Cloe and Daisy.
13. I built a darkroom in my basement because I think there is an art to developing b&w prints by hand, instead of using everything digital.
14. I love having the best looking yard in the neighborhood - sorry everyone else- I admit it ;)
15. I enjoy researching about plants, bugs, and other gardening stuff on the internet as it pertains to my yard.
16. My favorite flavor of ice cream depends on where I am purchasing it. If I am at the BYU Creamery, then it is Oreo. If I am at Baskin Robbins, it's the regular chocolate, with mint chocolate chip coming in at a close 2nd.
17. I always get a sugar cone, not a plain cup cone.
18. The best part of the ice cream is the end, when you take the last bite of the cone with a little ice cream still in it.
19. Whenever I go to a restaurant I always order a Shirley Temple to drink.
20. I hate having my teeth polished at the dentist; the gritty stuff makes me gag. I always ask to skip that part, and they say it's ok since I don't have too much plaque.
21. My favorite feeling is coming out of anesthesia. Going under is great, too. If I were an anesthesiologist, I think I might abuse this.
22. I've been through In-Vitro once and IUI twice, with two HSG's and one Laparoscopy along the way.
23. I am very opinionated.
24. I am usually right about things; usually.
25. I don't like losing.
26. Debating a topic is not my strong point, especially when the other person either: 1. knows more about the topic, or 2. hates being wrong more than I do. In those cases I will usually just acquiesce. It's not worth it to me. However, if I know that I am right, 99% of the time I will NOT back down!
27. It's important to me to be liked.
28. I do not have a passport.
29. I weigh nearly the same as I did in high school (well maybe a little more), but back then it was all muscle. I was leaner then. "Move over bacon..."
30. Halloween is my most favorite holiday of the entire year!
31. Thanksgiving is my second most favorite because of the great food.
32. Christmas is kind of stupid, especially because we don't have kids.
33. I love to say the words "kitty cat" just to get my dogs all riled up.
34. The thickest book I ever read was "Presumed Innocent" and I read it in 7th or 8th grade, twice- because it was sexually explicit. Hey, I was an adolescent, what do you expect?!
35. The second thickest book I ever read was "Jurassic Park" because it was so good. And I think I read it twice also! Good for me!
36. I still sleep with my baby blanket.
37. I've read "The Princess Bride" several times, and watched the movie dozens of times.
38. I don't know if I've read more than 20 books in my life (that doesn't count textbooks). I've never really liked reading- especially fiction. I guess it depends on the content!
39. I've played probably hundreds of video games.
40. I still own my original Nintendo system. I also have an N64 and an XBox. I've beaten 98% of the games that I own.
41. I built the built-in bookcase that is in our basement hallway.
42. All of the antique furniture that we have is from my Grandma, and I refinished it all myself.
43. I learned how to rebuild a phonograph spring motor and double-spring motor (c.1910) when I decided to clean up two phonographs that I found in my Grandma's garage.
44. Blue is my favorite color.
45. When I was born I had a heart murmur and had to go get checked out regularly until I was older. I remember going to the children's hospital in Hollywood and the doctor putting the sticky things on my chest.
46. Even until I was an adult and my doctor finally cleared me, I had to take antibiotics every time I went to the dentist.
47. My gums are receding- so badly on the bottom that I had a gum graft. They took some tissue from the roof of my mouth and sewed in onto the gums below my gumline on the bottom, kind of like sealing a crack in glass so that it can't go past that point. It was the worst surgery and recovery I've ever gone through in my entire life!!! I think I would rather lose all my teeth than go through that again.
48. For Halloween one year I died my hair black to go along with my all-black clothes and face-paint. I was a shadow. It was the dumbest costume ever! And it has taken three years for the "shampoo-in rinse-out" hair dye to grow out.
49. When I was a kid I once slammed my thumb in the car door. My parents took me to the emergency room. The doctors burned a hole through the nail to relieve the pressure. As soon as the thing broke through, blood squirted everywhere.
50. I played JV and Varsity softball in high school.
51. I played city league softball before that.
52. I played JV tennis in high school.
53. My favorite sport to watch on TV is baseball.
54. My eyes are green.
55. I have a Mac.
56. I love my Mac much more than my PC.
57. I play the piano, and the guitar.
58. This summer I took up oil painting (abstracts)- I'm not very good at it.
59. Even though I'm not very good at painting, I still put my art up on the wall.
60. I am enjoying writing about myself on this list.
61. I can carve a mean pumpkin!
62. You'll probably never see me wearing anything other than a digital watch; I like being able to set an alarm for my naps.
63. When I was 17 I had my ears pierced, but now one of the holes has closed, and I can't wear earrings anymore.
64. The pain of getting my ears pierced again is not worth the vanity of wearing earrings.
65. I got 100% on my driver's test when I was 16.
66. 100% on a driver's test does not guarantee that a person will be accident free, or ticket free.
67. I have too many pet peeves about driving to list.
68. I use music as a tool for a living, but I rarely listen to the radio in the car.
69. 69, Bill and Ted! (some of you understand, and some you don't)
70. I spoil my dogs.
71. I am a people-pleaser, but I can still be pretty cold about some things.
72. Fall is the best time of the year (except that you know winter is coming).
73. Winter is my least favorite time of the year because I hate the cold weather.
74. To deal with the cold weather I like to go snowboarding. It makes the winter pass much more quickly having a season pass.
75. I go snowboarding by myself because my husband doesn't like to ski, or snowboard.
76. Once, while snowmobiling for my first (and last) time with my husband and his family, I lost control of the machine and ran over a small (well, maybe medium-sized) pine tree, and fell into a sink-hole.
77. My husband and I met on a golf course (where we both worked).
78. I enjoy golfing, especially with my husband.
79. Once, while toilet papering someone's house, when a car drove by, I jumped behind a large rock to hide, only to find that I had jumped right into a cactus.
80. I love the beach, especially going on a warm day and just lying down and falling asleep to the sound of the waves.
81. I hate to cook.
82. Chores are no fun, either.
83. I'm a germophobe.
84. I would rather be hot than cold.
85. I would rather stay up til 3am than wake up at 3am.
86. Scrapbooking is not for me - way too boring and expensive and time consuming.
87. I can change my own oil, or tires.
88. I LOVE fires.
89. Seinfeld is my favorite sitcom of all time.
90. My office is always a mess.
91. There is a "Tear Planes" (paper air planes) book sitting on my piano in my office with 2/3 of the pages ripped out and made into paper airplanes because I'm weird that way.
92. My husband is my world.
93. I consider myself very lucky because I have a few true friends.
94. My feet are always cold.
95. I say soda, not pop.
96. I am the youngest of three, but I felt a little like an only child growing up since my siblings are 9 and 12 years older than me.
97. Camping is not so much fun - as tomboy as I am, I still like being clean, and warm.
98. My favorite movie is National Treasure.
99. I don't like popcorn because it always gets stuck in my teeth.
100. I stop and smell the roses.

Hooray, I am the first one to read all 100 interesting things about you! I should get an award or something! I really do feel like I know you alot better. That was fun, and I might do it on mine someday... if I remember. But I did disagree with a few! Christmas is not stupid, and I love to scrapbook. Hope we can still be friends! And yes, your yard is the best by far!

I totally say "soda" too! That was a huge deal to me when I moved here from CA as a teenager. I could'nt stand all my Utah cousins using the word "pop". I'm over it now, but I still say "soda". I have to say I agree with Brittney on the Christmas thing. IT IS NOT ABOUT KIDS! It's about the Savior's birth. Silly Tricia. I love that you're so opinionated and I really liked reading that list. Awesome!

That was fun! I like you. I'm tired and my fingers are frozen, so I'll type more later...maybe.

Ok, the cactus thing that is HILARIOUS! Next time I'm in Utard I'll go snowboarding with you. I love it. It'll be a tradeoff I'll snowboard and you will teach me the ways of ridding my roses of aphids. I can't seem to figure it out. Great list.

I think that's why we get along so well--we are both opinionated! And we're right, of course (good thing we agree on a lot of issues).

Which is kinda funny, because we're different in a lot of ways, too. I could never change oil or tires; nor do I know squat about gardening.

Trish, this was so fun and informative!!!! I'm already excited and waiting for the 200th post!! A few things I knew, there were many things I learned, and I LOVED it all. I think my personality probably drives you crazy, but I think you have so many unique, sweet, fun, and spicy qualities.

Do you think that because I knew most of these things already that we spend too much time together? :)
I didn't know the breakfast one though- that's funny. I think it's interesting that you don't mention Lynn until #75.
