Halloween 2012 (and 2010)

Halloween has always been my favorite holiday.  I especially like coming up with fun and different costume ideas.  For James' first Halloween (2010 - 8 months old) he was a golfer and Lynn was his caddy.  Notice, he is playing at the Masters.  Anyway, here is a picture from that Halloween.  The costume was a bit big for him, and you can see the tights were quite long, but he passed it off.

Fast-forward 2 years...  (by the way, last year he was Curious George and Lynn was the Man with the Yellow Hat)

We were asking James what he wanted to be for Halloween this year, and we really tried to be impartial... spiderman? nope.  superman? nope.  Woody? nope.  Buzz? nope.  Golfer?  YAH!!  You want to be a golfer?  YAH!! ok.

We even showed him other costumes at the store, and asked at least 2-3 other times.  Every time we asked he said he wanted to be a golfer.  That's just fine with us.  Not only does it put us a little closer to Lynn's dream of caddying for James at the Masters one day, but we get to use the same Halloween costume twice, and save the money!

So, here he is, in the same outfit, a little small on him this time, but happy as can be.  The outfit was so small that I had to cut out the ends of the tights so that I could pull the pants up the whole way, and I had to cut the bottoms out of the shoes and just velcro them on around his ankle over his regular shoes.

The way he looked with the costume shoes on top of his real shoes, reminded me of Dorf of Golf.

Here are a few more for your viewing pleasure.  I can't just pick one!

This was the first Halloween that I did not do something extravagant with my house or yard, or scare kids that came trick-or-rtreating, BUT Halloween was so much fun this year, being able to walk around the neighborhood, holding James' hand, and watching him learn how exciting it is to say "Happy Halloween!!"
