Wal-Mart worker dies after shoppers knock him down
This is why you will never, ever find me in any retail store the day after Thanksgiving. Not because I'm afraid of being trampled to death (which apparently is a realistic fear), but because of the plethora of insane people that attend these sales events.
There was also a shooting at a Toys R Us which resulted in the death of two men. And my very own sister-in-law was witness to a brawl between two women over a KitchenAid appliance.
Can you really put a price tag the life of another human being? Saving a few bucks is not worth the tragedies that happened today.

Maybe I'm one of the insane, but I'm always out there on Black Friday. You won't see me at Walmart, though; the clientele who shop there are a different breed. I thought they got rid of their doorbusters due to the same thing happening in a southern town two years ago.
I was out yesterday (of course) and got some good deals. Most my Christmas shopping is done.
I heard about both of those incidents and just can't wrap my brain around the Walmart one. I mean, I've heard they are "reviewing the tape"..but really. Even if they see "Joe Blow" doing something awful...HOW in the world do they expect to find out who J.B. is?
When Roland and I read about those incidents in the paper we were shocked. How could something like that happen, we wondered! Very sad indeed.
