When a Misdemeanor Should be a Felony

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,475764,00.html

According to Answers.com, a felony is defined as 'One of several grave crimes, such as murder, rape, or burglary, punishable by a more stringent sentence than that given for a misdemeanor.' They go on to define misdemeanors as 'Class of criminal offenses less serious than felonies and sanctioned by less severe penalties.'

I don't see anything in that definition that includes crimes against children. Maybe it's time to redefine some of our legal system. I haven't researched the definitions of felony in my own state yet (but I will right after posting this), but I am very curious to see whether crimes against these helpless fall into the category of felony or misdemeanor.

I saw this- it's disgusting. To shed a little light how intelligent these people are, read the last quote! "She wasn't behind no bed!"
