Lynn's Lines - Seeking Social Etiquette Advice

Earlier this week a co-worker, a female, needed some help on a project. As we discussed work I couldn’t help noticing a single hair sticking out of her chin. I didn’t say anything, because I didn’t want to embarrass her and I figured she would notice it sooner or later. Well, today it’s still there, and it's a little longer... if it’s there Monday do I tell her or just let it be? What's the etiquette here? I'm not sure I can handle it much longer.

Lynn left out the part that she is in her 60's.

My answer is that you don't say anything. She either takes meticulous care of things like this, or she doesn't. Either way, you can't say a thing. Just hope that she will notice it and take care of it. Or you will end up watching it become longer than the amount of time you can sit and talk with her without going crazy.

I once saw a lady with one of these things growing out of her neck. It was like 6 inches long. I'm not kidding!

I think I have some of those... I will pluck them tonight!! :)

Hey, at her age, maybe it's difficult to see them! Heheh, okay, 60 isn't that old, but still?? I'm with Tricia, just try and look at her eyes! :)

Or you could do what Rosie once did on her show and offer her a bead to put on it. Ah when Rosie wasn't on a political rampage...

I kid you not...that same thing happened to me last Friday with a co-worker at school. I held quiet. But, if it were me, I'd want someone to tell me! So, I don't know how to reconcile the 2.

Since you are her boss, she could consider it harassment... better be careful! If it were me, I wouldn't say anything about it. And if it were me with the hair, I would hate to have my boss be the one to tell me!

It's still there...only longer now!
