Jacob and Esau

In last night's season finale of Lost, a character that has been talked about for several seasons, but never seen, was finally introduced to us. His name is Jacob. He was first seen, dressed in white, conversing with another man, dressed in dark clothing. This other man's name was not referenced. Knowing nothing about the show other than the fact that the writers often reference biblical characters in their work, what would be your guess as to his name?
And, do people not read the Bible anymore, or go to church??! Do you know how many people out there in the blogging community have never heard of Esau?
