Lynn's Lines - A few things I can't live without

I spent the weekend in Ft. Lauderdale...don't get too excited I spent the whole time at a genealogy conference (that is not code for beach). It's funny that I had to go to South Florida to remind me of some of the things I can't live without...for example:
  1. Clock/watch - for some reason I have to know what time it is at all times, especially in the middle of the night when I wake up.
  2. Direction - oh thank heaven for mountains - it is very uncomfortable for me not to know which direction is North, South, West, or East. South Florida is flat, and if you can't see the coast you are lost.
  3. Spanish - if you plan on visiting South Florida anytime soon you may want to brush up on you Spanish...some are pushing for a new state to be created (in So. Florida) where the official language would be Spanish.
  4. Air conditioning - A/C is a lifesaver in a hot and humid place - wish I had had one on my mission
  5. SportsCenter - I think the next time my wife leaves some where I'm going to call the cable company and order ESPN. I think that hotels should only have one channel - ESPN, or if they want to offer other channels, they could offer ESPN News, ESPN 2, and ESPN Classic.
On an unrelated topic: if a man asks you to dinner and a swim (at the hotel pool), is he asking you on a date?

I don't think it's ok to date since we're married - even if it's another guy. That still counts as cheating.

Did some guy ask you out? Was he cute? ;-)

I'm the same with #1. It's part of my OCD or something. And yes to A/C. I never want to live without it. Can't back you on the ESPN thing though.....

Do you stay in all-male hotels or something? Why should sports be the only thing available to watch and what's up with a guy asking you out? Weird!

HAHA! What did he look like? For some reason I just have to know. And...yes, that was a date. If it was, "hey, want to go watch the game on the big screen at the bar" than maybe just a guy being friendly. Dinner and a swim? :)

I love a watch, I love knowing where I am, I am trying to learn spanish, I LOVE air conditioning and I actually like ESPN, but I would prefer the food network. I can't get enough of those candy competitions. AMAZING!

I believe that the Courtyard at Marriot allows both males and females.
Guess I still got it :) too bad it was an offer from the team I don't play for...
