I had to laugh when I read the synopsis of Alice in Wonderland. This is what was listed as reasons that the movie is rated PG (I've added the italics):
PG for fantasy action/violence involving scary images and situations, and for a smoking caterpillar.

I think a smoking caterpillar is "inspirational". :)
On a related note, I have heard a few critics have expressed their surprise that the movie got a PG rating.
