One year ago today was the day that a microscopic structure called a blastocyst was placed inside my uterus. Previous to that day it had grown for 6 days, and was then frozen for almost 2 years. It took only a few hours to thaw and become viable. Not all embryos survive to 6 days. Then, not all embryos survive being thawed. Then, not all of them survive once placed in the womb. Then, not all of them grow to full term. I had two of them placed and one survived. We now call him James.

happy anniversary :)
Happy IVF birthday! I feel like we should cook you dinner in celebration- got any recipes? :)God and science absolutely mix if you look at it from the proper perspective. I wish more scientists took the approach of trying to figure out how God did/does it rather than trying to prove He doesn't exist.
I love modern miracles!! :)
Way to remember such a great day! It is so true how many miracles occur in getting babies here. James is so cute!
I love that new picture of James. He is getting so big. I will never forget how I felt when you told me that the round IVF worked. I love you guys and I am so happy for you and that you have baby James in your family!
Sweet!! I love the connection! How special of a story you have!
