Yesterday I emailed a woman from a website about a particular breed of dog asking her if she wouldn't mind looking at a few pictures of Daisy to tell me if she thinks Daisy might be a mix of this particular breed of dog. We've never known for sure the breed of the father, but yesterday I came across another dog that looked just like Daisy and inquired about the breed.
So being very curious and thinking I may have finally figured out the breed that Daisy is mixed with, I emailed this woman for some help. I couldn't believe the response that I just got back from her! Judge for yourself whether I was polite and unassuming, and whether this woman was rude and judgmental:
I wrote: "Hello there. I have a dog that is a mix of a yellow lab and an unknown breed (I always just thought Aussie). I ran into another dog today at a dog park that had the same markings as my dog and asked the owner about the breed. She told me it was part Catahoula. I looked up some pictures of the breed and it looks just like my dog, except for a couple of differences. I was wondering if I might send you a photo or two of my dog to see what you think. Would you mind?
Thank you,
Tricia Turner"
She wrote back: "What difference does it make? You can't register an unknown or a crossbred,
and the only person who can tell you for sure is the original owner of your dog.
If you want to know a dog's ancestry buy a purebred.
Linda"
I was so appalled by this email! I wrote back: "I'm sorry I asked. I'll try consulting someone more willing to help. By the way, the difference it makes is that I would know for myself, and finally be able to answer all of the people that always ask what kind of dog I have because of how awesome looking it is."
I want to reach through the computer and do something bad to this woman. I just don't know what!

WHAT A WITCH!! People like that are so ridiculous!! You were nice...I wouldn't have been so friendly after that!
Now, now.....didn't you just listen to conference?
J/K. She sounds like she has a stick up her rear. Isn't the point of the website to answer inquiries (I'm guessing.....) and/or give helpful info to dog-owners?
I was kind of laughing at her response because...seriously...were you asking for much??? I just think it's funny how some people respond to simple questions. She was probably having a rotten day:)
Yikes...
Yeah, she's a brat.
