I love reading. In school (elementary through college) I despised it - I rarely picked one up - I didn't even finish reading "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn." For some reason I can't seem to go very long without picking up another book and reading it. On the Wednesday before Turkey Day I found myself in the lovely pastry scented Deseret Book and much to my surprise purchased the first book I picked off the shelf, usually I'm in a bookstore for an hour trying to decide between a couple of different ones. The winner: "Hearing the Voice of the Lord" by Gerald N. Lund. The book discusses the principles and patterns of personal revelation. The topic intrigues me, and thought it would be a good refresher course. In his book Lund quotes many apostles and prophets to teach this invaluable gospel principle - which brings me to my thought of the week.
In attempting to describe/define the Holy Ghost Elder Boyd K. Packer said the following: "The still, small voice [is] difficult to describe to one who has never experienced it and is almost unnecessary to describe to one who has."
Hope that one keeps you thinking...
